Album Notes

This CD contains just a few selection of songs that I've written and we have have also performed most of them at various church musicals through out the state of Mississippi
for years, most of them were composed in my little
home studio in Jackson,MS. I have always had a strong passion for creating original music. My band, Nu Generation, does a very good job at duplicating
what I create. In short, I'd like to call my music jazzy,
funky, and soulful. My desire is to create gospel
music that doesn't sound "churchy." There's nothing wrong with church music but I've been a church musician for over 20 years and I just don't care to sound like everybody else. I've got to be different because The Lord gave each and every one of us our own way to do it, so I'm just happy
to be able to play and sing it the way God gave it to me.
Enough about myself you know just about anybody can write
and compose a song but it takes the blending of many different skills and talents of others to really bring
out the best in a song, so I would like to take the time
right now to thank The Lord for the time and effort of
the band all the singers and Pastors and Elders that support us and radio stations that play us on their programs
and most of all we thank God himself for every door that he
opens for us no matter how big or small,


THE GOSPEL TRUTH

I know this music sounds funky yes indeed
But unto the words I want you to give heed
This may not sound like your typical gospel song
But if you listen you'll know where I'm coming from
When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all that The Lord has done for me
My soul cries out hallelujah
I've got to thank him for saving me

That saved a poor wretch like me
