I call these song fun songs because I wrote them just messing around in the studio. We got pretty good kick out of them and if you listen I think you'll get a laugh or two yourself. Every one of these songs are true experiences of my own life some past some present I'm 48 years old now but some of the inspiration for these songs go as far back as my teen age years back in the early 70's.
CAT EYED JAMES
We had this friend we called cat eyed James
And that boy would steal anything
We had this friend we use to call cat eyed James
And I declare that boy would steal I said any thing
He ripped these old people off and then threatened to burn I said down their house
They said if you ever bring your rougish self around here again
A big black hearse James you gonna be ridding in
Now that didn't faze old James at all
He took that money that he stole and went straight to the mall(The Jackson Mall)
But his two friends I said he did not forget
I'm here to tell you that old James he cut us in
We got together and we split that loot
And then we went downtown and we bought new suits
We got together and we split that loot
And we went down to the bargan shop
And bought new suits
CHORUS/VAMP
I miss my old friend cat eyed James ,,,,(Repeat)
Ol James got himself into a fight
And he tried to win with all his might
He got knocked down he got up again
The fight went on but James did not win
NOBODY'S FAULT BUT MINE
It's 6 o'clock in the morning and I've got to get out of my bed.
I've got to get myself off to work because my bills are in the red
I'm up to my neck in debt just waiting for my next paycheck
and it's nobody's fault but mine the shape that I'm in
It's nobody's fault, Nobody's fault but mine
It's nobody's fault, Nobody's fault but mine
It's nobody's fault but mine the shape that I'm in
(Repeat song)
