Album Notes

Belikose is a 5 piece hard rock/metal/gothic band from Long Beach, CA. Combining the sounds and influence of Killswitch Engage, Metallica and Taproot. Although the band was only able to release this demo before going there separate ways they achieved many fans and accolades along the way. Winner of the 2004 Best Hard Rock band by Rock City News. This is what Skratch magazine had to say of this album...Belikose takes the Korn route in a few ways-most notably, in phonetics but there is also a lot of Taproot and a fair share of Atreyu and Eighteen Visions buried underneath the twin guitars of "Forever in Mine" or the verses of "Black-n-Tan". The guitars and drums explode at key points, and the radio friendly melodic choruses usually lead up to some stalwart chest-beating screams that teenagers everywhere can relate to.

A happier time for Long Beach music

I was a huge fan of Belikose. The music this band played was so different than anything else you were hearing in the Long Beach clubs. It was a sad day when I found out the band was calling it quits. After such a short time this band was able to do so much. If you don't have this disc you should go and get one. This band was on the verge of adding themselves to the long list of talent coming out of Long Beach.

I was definately a fan of Belikose. It saddened me to hear the band broke up. This cd always reminds me of the short but productive life of this band. If you do not have a copy yet I recommend you pick one up while you can.
