ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bella Ciao is a six-piece band that plays and sings everyone's Italiano favorites from the late '50s as well as today's hottest Italian-American hits in a fun-filled show that has everyone livin' la dolce vita.

Legends of the Italian Lounge is the very cool initial CD by Bella Ciao. It's a combination of pop, swing, rock and more and evokes the fun spirit of the likes of Dean Martin, Louis Prima, Rosemary Clooney, Carosone and more.

For information about the band, including videos, please visit www.ladyofspain.com or call Tom Torriglia at 415 440 0800.

Bella Ciao is the famous rallying cry of all the Partigiani. This song will get you going in the morning like no other.

Nessuno is the classic song by the diva of all divas, Mina. Just like Madonna and Elvis, a singer with just one name. This is a classic pop '50s swing tune about undying love and adoration.

Monica from Monaco is a catchy pop song about a girl that just wants to have fun…in the south of France.

Blue italian Skies is a timeless classic love song and a big dance hit at every Italian-American wedding everywhere because of its moderate shuffle beat.

Isabella is a swing tune in the vein of Buona Sera and other Prima hits.

Marcello is the hit song from that famous movie about Marcello Mastroianni and recounts hit efforts to chase a beautiful woman. And for once, he gets rebuffed. It's hilarious.

Pasta Song: The Pasta song is everybody's favorite song because it's about pasta. Our version is a little lounge-like and bluesy.

Marina is a timeless classic and you'll love our up-beat version.

Pizza Guy is a polka about a pizza guy and the woman who loves getting an extra large from him whenever she can.

Honeymoon Tarantella and Girl with the Curly Black Hair. The tarantella is played at parties and weddings everywhere and the Honeymoon tarantella segues into the Girl with the Curly Black hair, a song about every guy's fantasy…olive skin, not too thin, you know what I mean.

Soldi, Soldi, Soldi is a cover of the most famous song by Italiana icon Sofia Loren. It's a pop song about money and shopping.

Sofia is a cool little song about Sophia Loren and mentions other actresses of the time including the incomparable Claudia Cardinale and Ann Magnani.

Tu Vo Fa L'Americano is a song that just had to be on this CD. Our rocking version will knock your songs off.

Legends of the Italian Lounge
Like Larry, My wife and I see Bella Ciao at the Italian Festival in Reno. They are the main reason we go there every year. Also their latest album, Festivus Italiano is great! We put their albums on when we do housework and do more dancing then housework.
