The Bella Fayes formed in the Summer of 2000 when former Geffen recording artist and acclaimed singer/songwriter Lael Alderman joined forces with former members of Drive (Shane Fisher on drums), Architecture (Jason Henry on keyboards and guitar), and Thrillbilly (Daven Hall on bass).

The band quickly built up a fanatical following with their powerful live performances that were brash and abrasive while also being reflective and poignant.

Combining ringing distorted guitar hooks with refined lyrics, and a rebellious aesthetic borrowed from post-punk, the band simultaneously sounded traditional and modern.

With the release of their debut six-song EP So Much More Than 'Hello' in April of 2001, they truly arrived on the Northwest music scene.

The CD received critical praise in the press, extensive radio play on KBOO, KPSU, the "Something Cool" show on 94.7 KNRK radio, and also appeared on the Local Music Spotlight on KINK 102 radio several times.

The band was also featured on FOX 49 television performing "In the Transistor's Glow" in its entirety in order to promote the Bella Fayes showcase at the Musicfest Northwest Music Conference in September.

Their latest release, 'The Truth in a Beautiful Lie' finds them equally occupied with rhythm and melody, but certainly not forgetting the base of rock music upon which the band was founded.
