Album Notes

The CD is a product of hundreds of gigs and many Christmas seasons and parties. I'm influenced heavily by the Christmas CD's of Take 6, the Singer's Unlimited, and the Beach Boys. My guitar influences include George Benson, Joe Pass and Earl Klugh. I've always loved the Christmas tunes, and I love it when they're given the gospel treatment, soul style. That's what I went for here, stating the tune with my arrangement, improvising on it, and then (mostly) restating the melody.
