Album Notes

Bellsize is a music-based collaboration between singer/songwriters Christopher Hess and John Mott (both on vocals and guitar). Their current works feature Nathan Lerohl on stand-up bass, Grant Niebergall and Chris Radostits on drums and auxiliary percussion, Dana Abbott on Cello, Josh Soloman on guitar and Eric Chase on backing vocals.

Bellsize seeks to engage the listener. The many years of songwriting experience these artists have is exemplified in their songs. They have created a sound that is all their own. Their music resonates a feeling that, if given the chance, will stir large amounts of people as well as any major artist ever has.

Bellsizecalls Chicago and its southside their home. They began writing in January 2001 for this current work. Since then, they have been featured live on the Levi's stage at the Tweeter Center and performed in the "Rock 4 Relief" concert at Elbo Room along-side major recording artists such as Sammy Llanas of the Bodeans and Jay Bennett formerly of Wilco. Individually, the musicians of Bellsize have played in and around the city for many years. They have been a part of many projects, but none as complete and well defined as Bellsize. This demonstration is an example of a larger body of recordings completed.
