Album Notes

Below Average Productions is an up & coming band, looking to establish themelves up and down the west coast as a new age rock act that is slowly pushing the envelope. Their sound is most closely related to rock, but BAP thinks that limiting themselves to one style of music would be detrimental to their growth. Incorporating sounds from all different genres, each member brings their own sound and personality.

Sean McKie (bass) brings an ambient element to the low end of the group that could only be derived from his love of drum and bass.

Travis Hislop (guitar) brings an edge that is reminiscent of early Seattle rock, which is exactly where his strongest influences lie.

Alec Zarelli (drums), the newest member of BAP, is similar to Travis in his influences; his personality and sound pushes the rock and gives the grooves a steady foundation to build off of.

Finally, and probably the most audible personality and sound of BAP is that of Brian Hillman (vocals)- with one note you can tell that his influences are rooted deep within early R&B and Motown, but once again rounded off with a little shot of rock. With little classical training all four of these talented musicians have found a way to mix their personalities into one band, one sound, one entityÖ that hopefully will not only bring compositional bliss to their friends and family but someday SAVE THE WORLD!!
