Benita Charles & Friends: In Remembrance of Sept. 11 was presented on September 11, 2002 at the Triad Theater in New York City as a part of the September Foundation's first annual "September Concert" event.
The show was a magical event. In addition to honoring the heroes and innocent victims who we lost during the 9/11 tragedy, we were able help each other heal and provide inspiration and hope to all who attended. Each and every artist on this show gave their talents and spirits to make a difference and to help with the healing and recovery from the tragedy.
About vocalist, Benita Charles
Benita is a singer/songwriter/actress & entertainer who resides in Harlem USA by way of Detroit, Michigan. She moved to New York City to pursue her musical dreams. She's appeared at various club venues throughout New York City, including Le Bar Bat, Downtime, Club Speed, Spy Bar and the Beacon Theater. In addition to performing in a wide variety of projects in the entertainment industry, Benita has created her own productions: a one-women show called, "Moments In Love," in Greenwich Village, New York; and cabaret shows: "The Benita Charles Show" and "The Benita Charles Variety Show (The Gift)!" both at the Triad Theater on the upper west side. She's happy to make her third appearance at the Triad Theater with "Benita Charles & Friends: In Remembrance of Sept 11."

Music we need
author: Sala Adams
Benita writes and sings the kind of songs we need to remind us that we have the power within to change our lives and the world. "We Can Make a Difference" is a beautiful, passionate affirmation. I love playing this moving CD over and over again.
