Album Notes

----------------
..."Perhaps most reminiscent of Jack Johnson, Ben often uses a combination of a variation on the rap style and sung melodies, switching back and forth between styles easily and seamlessly...."

----------------
..."Ben is certainly a talented young man, with an ear for catchy music, an eye for design, and a voice made for the radio."
-Steven Ingram,

My Style has a very acoustic laid back feel to it. I like incorporating clever lyrics, dynamic harmonies (on CD) and a good message. I previously was in an acoustic/pop/jam band called Swoop which I suppose has had a great influence on my new CD. I am proud to say I have many influences. To state the more popular: Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Dave Mathews and Nickel Creek. Aside from mainstream music, I have been exposed to many different types of composition growing up including Jazz, Classical, and many different kinds of traditional world music including Balkan, Gospel, and African.

I have been playing guitar for 11 years now, and singing out loud since I can remember. I also play frequently with a tight group of friends who use a variety of instruments. We are looking at a potential full length CD to be finished summer 2004.

Highly recommend Benjamin!

Ben's music has tons of personality, it'll make you laugh and put you in a better mood. It's impressive that his first independent CD is so creative, and on top of all that it's obvious that he's a very talented vocalist and musician. I would definitely recommend this CD.

Get in the groove!

This CD is awesome! The songs are written really well and the melodies will have you tapping your toes along with the beat. There is a very strong representation of different harmonies, sounds, and melodies. After you listen to the CD a couple of times you will be singing along and whistling the tunes when you are not. An upbeat CD that will have you singing and grooving all day long! A definte must have!
