notes
Get ready for a musical journey. On his first full length CD in three years, "Released : Songs of Faith and Fury", Benjamin Payne explores various musical styles while blending them altogether into this "sure to please", modern-rock meets indie-pop gem. Drawing on diverse influences, "Released..." moves seamlessly from one song to the next, progressing as a soundtrack rather than simply a CD full of songs. Hook heavy and vocally rich, Benjamin lays out a sonic landscape of exploding drums, melodic bass and electric guitars along with piano, organ and strings to create a fortress of sound. Dynamic songs of "faith" and energetic songs of "fury" make this charismatic album a win-win for any listener ... enjoy!

It has everything from all out rockers to praise songs to gorgeous ballads; I just love it. Benjamin Payne is a truly talented man, and his passion for God just shines through his music. author: Michael Welsh AKA MonolithFrom the very beginning you find yourself singing along and moving to the music. I bought my copy of this CD as soon as I had money in my pocket and I haven't stopped listening to it. Benjamin has been blessed, and thus, blessed us, with some very well thought out music and lyrics here. You don't just tap your feet, you find yourself thinking about what the lyrics mean, both to Benjamin, and to the listener. From the in-your-face drums to the soaring background vocals, this CD just sings. The addition of new instruments, including, but certainly not limited to, Chris Marchant on Violin and Steve Parsons on Hammond Organ, have really fleshed out Benjamin's sound making this collection of songs the best representation yet of his musical gifts. Unwrap this gift and you'll be smiling.
