Album Notes

Benny Woodley was born in the remote Wheatbelt town of Three Springs Western Australia, Australia.

He was raised at New Norcia Mission from the age of 8 until he was 15.

Benny was given his first acoustic guitar by his biological mother he then took an interest in writing music as an hobby.

From a young age country music,in particular \"Hank Williams Snr\" and \"Merle Haggard\" influenced Benny\'s choice of how to include real life experiences and interactions with a diverse range of people within his lyrical musical scores.

Benny has worked around Western Australia within construction and also within the judicial system as a representitive for indigenous people.

In 1984,Benny became involved with ABMUSIC at Clontarf an Aboriginal Corporation, where he began performing as a Solo Artist, with both original and covers.

Thr recording was more of a project for Benny who consider\'s him self as a back yard musician more than any thing else.

Benny has now completed his first album, self titled Benny Woodley 1954 which although not publicly released.

All tracks have a personal connection with him, however the tracks \"1954\", \"I Want My Daddy Back Home\" and \"That\'s The Girl\" and \"It\'s Alright\" are his most liked.

Boogga Mullegga [deadly man]. Keep the songs coming.

The music is great. One particular good point is that the music reflects real life experiences. This adds to the preservation of Indigenous stories and culture. A tip would be to add female backing vocals. Overall, a great CD.
