Musique de chambre is Benoit Groulx’s first CD but by no means is first venture in musical composition. Benoit has been working as an Orchestrator for famous film composers such as Nick Glennie Smith, Hans Zimmer and Justin Burnett. He was also involved with Cirque Du Soleil for whom he produced, arranged and conducted the music of Corteo (Soundtrack). The warm sound of the string quartet, the delicacy of the clarinet. This Cd also includes the Soundtrack from the movie Steel Toes. Benoit Groulx wrote that film score with the chamber sound in mind. It blends musical idioms from the early twentieth century with musical sonorities from the jewish musical heritage.
