Album Notes

Ben Suchy and Summer Sorenson grew up in a small North Dakota town surrounding themselves with music and other artfull qualities. While knowing each other since early childhood, musical collaboration didn't begin until their sunday morning worships turned into sunday morning jam sessions.

The following year or two saw Ben & Summer gracing the various fine-dining venues, music halls, and coffee shops of the local Bismarck/Mandan area. Many listeners would return time and time again to see the sun set from calm evening patios while listening to the duo spin their songs.

When Suchy decided to move to Salt Lake City and Sorenson to return to grad school in Chicago, two avid supporters couldn't Baer to let them go. With only a couple of days to work with before Ben & Summer departed, the supporters gracioulsy funded a recording session for the duo. This frantic yet comfortable recording session produced the cd "Gypsy Swing". This album features some of the swing/folk magic that Ben & Summer brought each night to those warm summer patios.
