Lo-fi, but still popular album, originally released on cassette under the name of Daylight Dog in 1990, played largely by a duo consisting of singer-songwriter Ben and arranger/producer/bassist Dan Simmons.
Mandolin-based folk (The Biscuit Festival) mixed with Sinatra-style piano jazz (Gorgeous), and upbeat (New University) or downbeat (So Hard) guitar songs.
Recommended for those who prefer raw, unpolished demo quality over slick, easily classified mainstream product.
