Beretta Sun is the product of two hectic years spent searching for the perfect lineup of devoted, talented members. After several personnel changes, they’ve managed to adapt and thrive where others would have died out prematurely. Formed in the spring of 2010, Beretta Sun has quickly climbed the ranks to captivate the hearts and souls of countless Arizona residents. Honest lyrics and a driving musical force, combined with the unique ability to command the stage with both full band and acoustic performances, allude to the fact that Beretta Sun is on the fast track to becoming something great. Beretta Sun has shared the stage with illustrious acts such as: The Maine, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Atomic Punks, Cold Fusion, Kill Paradise, A Change Of Pace, Cardboard Stereo, Revive the Radio, Weird Is The New Cool, and many more.
The new Let It Sink release is a combination of old and new Beretta Sun material. The newest single on the album Let It Sink, shows a turn towards the up and coming Arizona band's new distinct sound featuring melodic, powerful vocals, biting anthemic guitar riffs, new age rock drumming, and smooth complimentary bass lines, while older tracks like These Are The Days and Far From Over showcase the hard-hitting roots that laid the band’s foundation. This album will show you a variety of styles with the unavoidable fun of college rock combined with meaningful lyrics and elegant musicianship. The new four member formula promises a simpler, tighter sound to the full length album follow up that Beretta Sun is currently working on.
Jake Briggs is another founding member, and captain of our Millennium Falcon. Among his talents as an impersonator and storyteller lives another grand trick: wielding the beat sticks. Jake’s dad showed him a drum kit when he was only eight years old and his natural drive and tenacity helped him to succeed terrifically not only in his quest to dominate the beat machine he calls his drum set, but in all aspects of his life.
Sam Gomez moved to Arizona and the U.S. at age 14 from Central American country Guatemala, he started playing music at age 10 and singing at age 11, by 16 he was the lead singer in a touring metal band, kicking off his musical career. Joining the band in April of 2010, he brought an irreplaceable, soulful vibe that gave Beretta Sun their legs. His eclectic personality and natural proclivity to music bleeds into his songwriting, giving his songs a deeply personal and inspiring touch.
There is nothing we enjoy more than transforming thoughts into sounds.
