notes
The majority of this CD was recorded live during May of 2002 at the New Union. This is a great rocking retrospective of some of Berg's best songs. This package is further sweetened by two live in studio tracks "Queen of the Mountain" co-written with Robert Aldrich (Toothpick Gnau) a and "Broken World" which have never been released by Berg before.
"I had been performing basically acoustic gigs for the last four or five years," said Stephen,"but when I record it is much more of a band situation. I did a handful of gigs with a full band in 2002 and found it very satisfying."
The musicians are all veterans of the Minneapolis music scene and include drummer Jeff Eidsvoog (One Good Man), bassist Dan Ferguson (formerly of the Hidden Persuaders) and Erin Berg on keyboards.
And exciting and versatile performer backed by an expressive and tight band, Stephen Berg is a live force to be reckoned with.
