Album Notes

This is Stephen Berg's second album originally released in 1997. This CD contains a wide variety of material and styles culling much from the folk and blues/rock tradition. Active in the Minnesota music scene since 1981, Stephen brings a unique vision to light with his music.

"With this album I was trying to do something different from the first," he said recently. "This one is the beginning of my 'political' era where I realized I was angry about much in our society and it just poured out."

Stephen explores such diverse subjects as the death penalty ("Who Are We?"), the crucifixion and resurrection ("I Was There","Judas In Me"), relationships ending ("Nothing There","New Beginnings"), and the Christian's place in the world.

A gifted and diverse guitar player, Stephen plays all the instruments here and delivers the music with passion and conviction.
