Darryl Simons, aka Poppa D, is a Bermuda musical institution. Having performed for over 30 years with various bands and the Group Bermuda which landed a recording deal with Grammy winner, Donald Byrd, on Elektra Asylum Records in 1977.

Darryl has also the Bermuda Church Community as a leading gospel arranger for multiple choirs including the famed gospel group Rejoice.

Most recently, Darryl has through his professional recording studio Bermuda Bass Hits embraced the notion of the Bermuda Sound being developed and distributed worldwide. All artists residing in Bermuda, including musicians, songwriters, vocalists, dancers and entertainers, are coming together to let the world enjoy what Bermudians have enjoyed for so many years.
