Bertil Schulrabe presents his first Drums/Percussions CD entitled 'DANCING RHYTHMS'. The music is inspired by the great rhythmic traditions of the world and created with the use of the rich voices of more than 10 percussion instruments (Indian Tabla, Derbouka, Djembe, Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Cajon, Drumset, Frame Drums, Tambourines, Shakers, Effects,…). A respectful historical, geographical, poetic fusion of these rhythms; a blend of composition and improvisation… this inspiring music is created to welcome the soul, spirit and body to dance! He recorded a DVD with Chantal Chamady 'Belady - A night at the Pyramids' , in Egypt.
He studied in Canada , England and in India with tabla Maestro Partha Sarathi Mukherjee.
And he had the incredible chance to accompany the Sitar Classes of Ustad Shahid Parvez at the Sitar School of Toronto.

Bertil accompanies regularly dance classes (modern dance, baladi, flamenco)... Creating music to accompany movements , choregraphies is a real passion for him.

Fluidity, steadiness, bringing life to music are among his best musical qualities.

During his 30 years of learning , playing , performing, teaching music , he gained experience in a wide variety of musical styles, folklores from around the world.

This cd is a salute to the ancestors of the music he had the opportunity to play, share, and now he presents these rhythms in his own unique way.
