Hello there! A few words about myself. My name is Bert Jones. I have lived in Freeport, Michigan for 35 years. I am a veteran of Vietnam and a father of 3 children. I have been singing forever. I sing all the time; happy, sad it doesn't matter. I just sing. Although I wrote my first song when I was 15 years old, I really didn't get serious about writing until the mid 80's. I have played in a couple of different bands over the years mostly country music. We had drums and electric guitars. Since then I have settled down into acoustic music and just love the sound. It seems so much more about the quality of the music and the songs and not so much a dance beat. Bert R. Jones II and the 'Born To Sing' band is all acoustic and is all quality music and people. I am very fortunate to have such great people to work with. It is hard to call it work when you have so much fun! I recently finished my debut album 'Born To Sing'. It was a 3 year process and the result is something that I am truly proud of. I feel that this CD reflects my passion and my desire in life to write and sing. I would be honored if you would give it a listen! I have recently had national exposure on the XM Satellite radio station 171 with Marcia Campbell. The response has been overwhelming! My song 'Your Freedoms Not Free' is gaining popularity and is loved by many people. Due to the times we are living in, people are able to identify with the music I am writing and draw comfort from the lyrics. I was truly born to sing!
