ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bess is a retired educator who tells stories professionally in the Savannah, GA, area, She has traveled all over the world collecting stories for a book she is writing. Interest in ghosts and old houses prompted her to make the Ghost Stories CD. Her stories have a historical background. Also in the CD are three comical original stories. Awesome Possum, # 5 on the CD, is a tall tale, favorite of adults and children alike. The CD is popular with tourists on Savannah's History River Street and at the Visitor's Center. Bess also gives workshops on 'How to Become a Storyteller' and "How to Start a Storytelling Troupe'. She also helps seniors who want to write their memoirs. Bess was born in Greece and came to the US when she was seven years old. She holds degrees from Armstrong Atlantic University, Georgia Southern University and University of Georgia. The majority of her work years in education was spent as an elementary school media specialist, where she discovered her love of telling stories. Bess is learning to play the guitar to enhance her storytelling. She playes Greek Folk Songs for her mother's senior group. She laughingly tells her audience that she can play the guitar in two languages.

Stella, formerly from Savannah

charming, clever and fun!
CD was a fun listen and held my interest all the way through. Having lived in Savannah, was good to hear about Savannah again. The narration was well done and she has a great way of telling a story. Glad I bought it!

Robert Wagner

Great storytelling, but the Awesome Possum is the best! Laughted 'til we cried.
We bought the CD in Savannah and listened on our way home. We got to the Awesome Possum song and ended up laughing so hard I had to pull over on the side of the road. I was laughing so hard the tears blurred my vision. Great storytelling by a talented lady who stands behind her work. Wish she lived closer to Indiana, so we could attend her classes.

Andy Uhlig

Delightfully entertaining and funny!
The tales and stories on this CD are delightful and masterfully told. I chuckle as they reveal unexpected twists and surprises. Very well done!

GOT A GOOD FUTURE AHEAD. ENJOYED THEM ALL.
The stories are a good companion for a visit to Savannah, or to refresh a memory of a great vacation.
