BIO
--
Raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and currently based in Prague, Czech Rep. Bethany is a singer/songwriter with a passionate and refreshing brand of electronic pop.
In 2001, she earned her degree in music recording production and released her first full length cd as modul8. In the years that followed Bethany's days were spent recording and mixing music for TV and radio. In between sessions she wrote and recorded. She was featured on LCD minimal techno vinyl release, Lowrider Suites II, as Blacktor and collaborated with Jason Heinrichs (Anomaly) as vocalist and co-producer.
This self-titled debut EP, a cross-studio effort with technoist, Dave Olson (Parotic, Kiddo-Figureheads) provides a first glimpse into Bethany's subtle, yet provocative songwriting. Performing with live-looping percussionist, Aaron Barnell (Alicia Corbett, Tea & Sympathy) a highly stylized palette of electronics is layered with Barnell's acoustic augmentations coalescing into a dramatic foundation for Bethany's moody vocal.
