Album Notes

The Beth Coleman Band (BCB) plays bluegrass in traditional style. Although the group is based in New Jersey's Hunterdon County, they sound like they came from the hills of Virginia. This CD 'Back Home to Galax' is a collection of some of the band's favorites and original tunes they have been performing throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and all of New Jersey for years. The BCB has established a following of bluegrass fans and families, along with some younger listeners. The title track 'Back Home to Galax' and track 'Waiting For You' were written by member Bruce Rupert. Four tracks on the album were written by member Tim Scheetz: 'It's You', 'Lord,Lead Me On', 'Quit Wasting My Time', 'When You Think of Me'. The latter being dedicated to America's service personnel deployed overseas. The BCB has been viewed on You Tube, played Bally's Wild West Casino in Atlantic City, NJ and has opened for national acts such as The James King Band, David Peterson and 1946 and Dan Paisley and the Southern Grass.
