Album Notes

Bethel Steele, an upstate New York native, has been writing music since she was 14. Affter spending time traveling throughout the northeast for various jobs, Bethel has now chosen to bring her gift and insight for music to whomever she comes in contact with. She has been performing sporadically as an acoustic singer-songwriter for the last 5 years throughout New York and Massachusetts, but only recently has she decided to follow her dream and pursue her music with serious intent.

Bethel has been showcased as a solo artist, as an opening act for bands as well as for some nationally- and regionally-touring artists. Currently based out of Boston, Massachusetts, Bethel is whittling her way into the music scene there. She is busking throughout the Boston subway system and in the busy areas in Cambridge, and is a new member of the group JP Unplugged (www.jpunplugged.org) that hosts an acoustic music series in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

The ever-consummate artist, Bethel also explores her artistry through drawing and photography, the later can be seen as the art accompanying her first release, an EP entitled \"Beautiful Woman.\" This self-released album was recorded precariously in her living room after the bar that she frequently played at told her that they wouldn\'t let her play again until she had a CD to sell. On Thanksgiving Day, 2006, Bethel recorded 8 songs, the result being \"Beautiful Woman.\" The debut EP is available at CDbaby.com and iTunes.
