ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Beth Kinderman is a humble office worker by day who morphs into a geek-folk singer-songwriter by night. (If you are wondering what geek-folk is, it's pretty much just folk music performed by a person who is incapable of containing their dorkiness even when trying to be a rock star.) She plays guitar (and bass, and mandolin) left-handed, just like Kurt and Jimi, which is perhaps not the most auspicious company to be in so she's staying away from the heroin just in case. She writes clever, literate, and geeky folk-rock music about unrequited love, zombies, TV shows, God, Star Wars, roleplaying games, and cannibalism. She started out recording demos in a spare bedroom of her house, playing all the instruments herself with varying degrees of success. Or at least that's how it was until 2008, when things got exciting and Beth's humble demos evolved into a full-fledged record, "All Of My Heroes Are Villains". That same year, she formed her first band, the Player Characters (consisting of Beth plus multi-instrumentalist Dave Stagner, drummer and accordion player Justin Hartley, and backing vocalist Nikki Walker), who hope to soon play at a bar, coffeehouse, or sci-fi convention near you. For now, enjoy the song samples, buy the CD, and consult www.bethkinderman.com or www.myspace.com/bethkinderman for more information!
