BETOKEN was formed back in 2000 by guitar/keyboards/bass-player Ivo Ricci. Band's main aim was to play an unique Power/Prog Heavy Metal with some technical parts and good melodies; the result was the self-produced debut-CD "Chrysalis", released in 2001 and sold through live-gigs and bands' own contacts.
Always looking for a more mature and unique sound, the band decided to have for the 2nd album a second female vocalist and Eva Rondinelli, already appreciated for her work with Gothic/Dark metallers Dakrua, joined Betoken during 2002.
The new album "The Gate Of Nothing" features also the majestic symphonic choir "Praise The Lord" and the powerful vocals from Marco Sivo, previously appreciated on Time Machine last effort's "Reviviscence" as well as on Valas' "A Glance From Unreality". "The Gate Of Nothing" shows a band at top of its career, delivering some unique and superbe Symphonic Power Metal tunes.
