From the ashes of various local bands comes BETRAY YOUR OWN. A Metalcore Band from Fayetteville NC. Months of writing and practicing and changing out various members, BYO finally found a solid line up in the summer of '07 and played their first live show later that year. Ever since they've been building a fan base with a desire to make their fans move and have a good time. With a mix of Metal, Hardcore, and Death Metal, its hard to keep everything original in this saturated music genre. BYO just plays what they want to hear, and what they enjoy playing!

In fall 09 BYO finished their first self titled EP, released on Oct 22nd 09 on CdBaby.com, Interpunk.com, I tunes, amazon.com and many other international sites. Recorded at Sacred Hearts Recordings in Erwin N.C. BYO is continuing to write and play as many shows as possible. Getting ready for the next step! BYO is continuing to grow in 2011. Big things coming up in 2011 including a full length album, and much more touring, BYO is becoming an unstoppable force in metal. With a heavier much defined sound the new full length "Mammoth" Produced by Pawley Thomas( Deviant Recordings) is bound to hit hard!
