Bette's songs give expression to her experience as a survivor of sexual abuse. Hopeful, powerful, haunting, and melodic, they've brought healing to other survivors and have sounded a rallying cry for those who love them. "Don't let them take your light away," says the music. "Don't let them have the final say." And you find you want to sing along.
