Album Notes

Betty Iron Thumbs is an alt-country influenced twangy indie rock band from the city of brotherly love, Philly, PA. With the songwriting duo of Katie Morrison (vocals, guitar, viola) and Mike Long (guitar, vocals), Betty Iron Thumbs combines brutally honest story-telling lyrics with catchy stick-in-your-brain melodies. Their tales of love, woe, and beer are delivered with a swift kick in the pants from Richard Robin on bass and Hugo Fernandes on drums.

Nice Tall Glass of Lemonade

The members of Betty Iron Thumbs were handed lemons one day and, boy, have they made the best lemonade that I have ever tasted! Their songs, live sets, and CD take you on a little journey of the truth about human nature (Take Off Your Clothes), the emotional strife and strength of loss (Out By the Sea), the power of love (Unconditional), and the feeling of rage and frustration (Free Like You). I try to go to their shows when I am in Philly and have been hearing a lot of their new songs and songs not available on-line yet...and the journey keeps getting better! Definitely check them out!!!
