Betty Picard is one of today’s most appealing crossover artistes. While her sweet, radiant voice captures the elegant simplicity of the timeless lullabies on her CD, Still, Still, Still, fans and critics also adore her for her lyrical operatic style. One reviewer wrote: “Her gorgeous voice, so pure, so expressive, lofted the exquisite “Pie Jesu” (Fauré) to the heavens.”
Betty loves performing. Her recent Santa Fe show of best-known Andrew Lloyd Webber songs with noted Broadway pianist/conductor, David Geist, was enthusiastically received, earning the promise of a return engagement. The event was in tandem with psychiatrist husband, Dr. Thomas Picard, who spoke about Webber’s life and ambition.
Juggling performance, family and education, Betty teaches at the Harper Creek Community Schools and is an adjunct professor at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek. A native of Sparta, Michigan, she has a BA in Education from Hope College (Holland, MI), a BM in Vocal Performance from Washburn University (Topeka, Kansas) and a Master of Music degree in voice from Michigan State University (Lansing, MI.) Betty, Tom and their children, live in Richland, Michigan.

I haven't listened to it yet, but I know I'll love it -- Betty is a friend and we always loved hearing her sing. I can't believe I didn't buy it when she lived in Topeka!!!
