Betty began singing in church along with her four sisters from early childhood. When they became teenagers they formed a group called "The Mitchell Sisters".

Betty is an anointed and gifted vocalist who is known for her smooth style of singing of both traditional and contemporary gospel which ushers in an atmosphere of spirit-filled worship, praise and devotion. After listening to her CD, many people felt compelled to send letters, cards and e-mails expressing how the Lord used these songs to bless them spiritually. Some of the remarks were... "I kept listening to the CD over and over again...I love it! "I had to purchased a second CD because my 10 year old son kept taking my mine " "It soothed my spirit even while I was driving in rush-hour traffic" "...It ministers to me...it brought tears to my eyes" "Words cannot express how much this CD has touched me..."
