ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Glenn Gillis & The Blues Experiment is one of Quebec Canada's most popular blues bands and certainly have to be one of the purist of their kind. Their second album entitled "Bad Times" is already recognized as a success, and their stage performance justifies just that. Each musician carries a load of experience from way back in the seventies. The Blues Experiment surfaced in 2003; initially, Glenn being the only singer/ composer in the band called it: Glenn Gillis & The Blues Experiment. His very first CD came out in 2001, it was a Demo example of 12 compositions entitled, “The Traveler” In 2004, the CD entitled: “The Letter D” was Glenn’s second, and was nominated for best blues CD of that year at the (Lys Blues) gala, which was held at the Club Soda in Montreal. Changes occurred in 2005 with the arrival of two new members Barry Nameth on drums, and “René Gignac” on bass raising the band to another level. After numerous concerts, stage performances, and constantly writing new material, they decided to record another CD; however, this time it was Normand Lacroix, the lead guitarist, who composed the music, and Glenn wrote all the lyrics. This recent project is entitled “Bad Times” and it came out in October 2006. Again in 2007 their cd (BadTimes) was up for nominies for blues cd of the year
