JC Thompson & Beyond Blessed are an ensemble of vocal musicians dedicated to glorifying God by spreading the message of unconditional love to the world through music ministry. JC Thompson, born the grandson of prominent Gospel Music promoter Rina Crutchfield, heard his music ministry calling at the age of four. By the age of six, he joined “The Cherubs”, a family Gospel group that toured the northeast. By age twelve, JC Thompson started directing choirs and arranging music. With an impressive 4-octave range JC attended the Westchester Conservatory of Music, The Julliard School of Music, and University of North Carolina/Elizabeth City State, all on a full music scholarship.
JC Thompson formed Beyond Blessed in August 2006 and they have already lived up to their name. They have shared the stage with Gospel greats: Donnie McClurkin, Richard Smallwood, Byron Cage, Fred Hammond, Myron Butler, Kelly Price, Tye Tribbett, J. Moss, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and many others. JC Thompson & Beyond Blessed have just recorded their first project "Born To Praise" & are currently recording their debut full-length album. Three songs, "Strength", "Friend!" and "Don't Give Up" have been featured on NYC based WRKS-FM "98.7 Kiss FM 2006-2007 Night of Healing" compilation CD along with Kirk Franklin, Kelly Price, Fred Hammond, J. Moss, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Deitrick Haddon, The McClurkins and a host of other Gospel artists. JC Thompson was featured as an independent artist at the 2007 Dove Awards and he along with Beyond Blessed, were nominated for a 2007 Ensound Music & 2007 Tiffany Awards.
