Min. Bernard Hash, born in Grayson Co. Va. is the son of Marvin and Edith Hash, of Roanoke, Va.
He is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. Upon graduation,
he enlisted in The United States Marines,and upon
completion of Basic Training at San-Diego Recruit Depot,
he was stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station,
Kaneohe, Hawaii. There he served his active duty term
from 1977-1980. He received an Honorable Discharge and
The Good Conduct Medal from The Marine Corps and was
promoted to Lance Corpral.
After his return to Virginia, he joined The U.S. Army Reserve
unit in Salem, Va. (80th Div. Trn. Group) to be with his father,
SFC Marvin Hash. There he served from 1981-1996. During
his tour of duty with the Army, he was promoted to SFC and
became the Dining Facility Manager, and received The Army
Acheivement Medal(twice) for his outstanding performance
of duty. He also received The Army Commendation Medal
and many other awards during his time in the military.
He excepted the call into the ministry in 1998 under the
(late) Bishop George Hash. He is currently under the
ministry of The (Late) Pastor Vachaun Hash, senior pastor of Temple Of The Way Out Church in Roanoke, Va.. He is the
trumpet player for the praise team and the choir there.
Min. Hash is also a distinquished member of The Interna-
tional Society Of Poets and received The Poet Of Merit
Award in 2001, for his contributions to poetry.
Although he has been in the music buisness since the age
of 6 (six) and sang with a gospel quartet group for 26 years,
( The Fantastic Royal-Aires) they all went different directions
in thier latter years. At this time Min. Hash became a solo
artist, and released his first CD, titled "Jesus Is Mine"in
which he was nominated for an American Gospel Music Award
in 2003.
He has now released a second CD, titled "River Of Love",
which he calls The Full Meal Deal. He recorded this CD
along with his 2 (two) daughters, Cyndle ( 15) and Fabrae'
(10).He is a gifted song writer and poet, and has blessed
many lives in the body of Christ. He has also inspired many
others to begin writing.
His music can be heard on many radio stations across the
U.S. and can also be purchased on the web. He is an up
and coming super star, with a voice that's sure to be
among the greats.
