Justin Biaggi and The Hopeless Romantics are a unique synthesis of a fifties pop ethos and a straight-up garage rock vibe. Their music explores the doo-wop sounds and lovelorn balladeering of a bygone era with a post-punk spin. Fans and critics alike have compared their clever sonic landscape and high energy to that Elvis Costello and the Attractions and Weezer. Justin Biaggi and The Hopeless Romantics are a talented musical quintet, featuring songwriter Justin Biaggi on lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and piano, Derek “Big Man” Delisle on lead guitar and backing vocals, Brad Naprixas on keyboards and backing vocals, Keith Keresey on bass, and Rich Barone on drums. Story behind Love's Muse (by Justin Biaggi)... Simply put, this album is about a year's worth of accountability. For the first time in my life, I found that I was the one breaking the heart of someone I love as opposed to getting my heart broken. Even though I am more used to the latter, I honestly can't say which is worse. What I can tell you, is that it's a hell of a thing owning up to causing someone pain let alone putting it all on an album that you have to live with for the rest of your life. This required some courage to find the right words and tones to express myself. This is why I put a picture of Cyrano De Bergerac on the cover. I have always been fascinated with his story because he represents the perfect combination of insecurity, courage, poetry, and romance. I named the album, Love's Muse, after a poem I wrote for this particular victim of my romantic negligence.
