Album Notes

The name James Biddlecombe may be familiar.
It MAY be because you’ve seen James “Biddie” Biddlecombe perform at numerous gigs up and down the land, in the UK, or New York, Berlin, or Paris, singing a kind of jazzy cabaret with humour and vigour, whilst cajoling the audience even occasionally sitting on their laps
It MAY be because you’ve read Simon Doonan’s “Beautiful People” (entiltled "Nasty" in the US) about best friends Biddie & Simon’s dreams and realisation of leaving Reading to get to London and find those Beautiful People
It MAY be because you’ve watched the BBC-2 comedy series of the same name adapted by Jonathan Harvey.
It MAY be because you’re a regular at his numerous recent club nights namely Sugartown and recently Biddie at The Roxy, London, performing with his long-time musical director and Record Producer Chris Marshall
It MAY be because you were there at The Blitz Club in Covent Garden, London
in the late 70s and early 80s when Biddie & Eve were regulars with their band when they weren’t touring topping the bill above combos such as Depeche Mode at Universities, headlining May Balls or taking part in TV talent shows
It MAY be because you’ve seen him with his band the Les Vegas Orchestra at
Ronnie Scott’s or The Hippodrome breaking box office records

In any case, this is his new album Produced by former Zomba and Jive Records producer Chris Marshall
