Album Notes

It's hard to classify The BIG DOGS music. Someone came up with the term "MetalBilly" to describe their heavy guitar sound that has a hint of "twang". They play original and cover songs in a distinctive "good ole" rock & roll style with soulful rock vocals and impressive harmonizing.

The BIG DOGS are a band anchored by songwriting partners KC Vinck and Marco Cocchiaro. KC is the band's bassist and lead vocalist, Marco plays guitar and also provides lead and background vocals. They have developed a unique musical style that is a form of a roots based rock with a "twang". This style could be associated to rock, southern rock or country rock and pop genres. The band's play list is usually a mix of originals and covers played in an original style.

The CD ("Warning! Big Dogs Inside") that features the Miami Herald's Songwriters contest winner entry "An Outlaw's Song", was recorded with original band members Mauro Magellan, former drummer for Electra recording artists the Georgia Satellites on drums and Steve Parke a former member of recording artists Slyder on Hammond B-3 and backing vocals. The band is now performing live shows with current members KC Vinck, bass and lead vocals, Marco Cocchiaro main guitar and vocals, Elvis Barnett and Dave Stumacher additional guitar and vocals, and Tom McWilliams, the former drummer for recording artist Jon Secada's band on drums.
