Last Shot 4th Quarter

by Big Face

This cd is the depiction of my growth as an artist and Man. From the block to the booth, and the booth to the boardroom. Going hard chasing my goal's(musically and otherwise). It's that hood, hustla, and gang mentality and then it morph's into growth!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is Big Face best work. He did all parts to the project. Artwork concept to the tracks, and even handled the mixing and mastering with the hands of Jessie Romero. 3 video's was shot to provide a motion picture to this lyrical movie. The cd has something for every fan of hiphop/rap/spoken word/ urban entertainment. I believe this is a classic type album. All the songs represent a piece to the complicated puzzle that is Big Face. A complex man that keeps it so real and simple! Known well in Milwaukee and Chicago to many for his notorious past. Now the same people love and respect his change and music. It's a real perspective on urban life for a lot of black&latin youth/young men. With his background and insight, may be Big Face can help redirect some of the troubled young men in the community. Thats the goal: help better my community and my family! Lets Get It...

Raw & Real!
Last Shot 4th Quarter is by far considered "Grown Folk Music". No Dancy tracks, no autotuned vocals. Just pure street hip hop born & bred from tha Midwest! Tha title becomes clear right away with an opening spoken word intro. Followed by trakk after trakk of raw & uncut reality rhymes & beats any grown man that ain't rokkin skinny jeans can relate to. Milwaukee's own Project hero Coo Coo Cal makes his presence known on Off The Chain. The mellowed out flow of Uncut acts as a stabilizer against the raspy voice of Big Face on cuts like Living in Hell & Street Lights. Big Face also uses spoken word with a gangsta twist on this project before smoothing out this album with one of my faves, No Smiles featuring Double Up who takes us to church with a sultry soulful appeal. All in all, this album has everything we truly need from hip hop in this day & age; no gimmicks, just straight street with a message.
