Album Notes

In December of 2003 after the release of this CD Jason changes the group's name to "Polyphase". The band has evolved tremendously over the last eight years, and their music is much more complex with fusion crossing many genres; consequently, with the maturing of the musice comes the evolution of the name. Polyphase already has 2 CD's which you can hear or purchase "Atrophy" produced in 2004, and "Incision" their latest production released in September of 2005. For more info go to: www.polyphase.net

polyphase was the fifth cd produced by jason berger, in conjunction with members of big fat hen, which he founded in 1997, at age 17. it is evidence of his constant efforts to improve the quality of his music.

polyphase is the evolution of jason's reggae/punk/ska roots, to his jazzy-funk/alternative-rock with touches of metal and latin flavor. it is a compilation of life experiences manifested through a variety of genres in a collage of sweet and rythmic music expressed in rock, sometimes hard and sometimes soft.

A submersion of fusions and refreshing rythms.

After the launching of their last album "Live", the advent of more elaborated rythms was predicted in the repertoire of Big Fat Hen, and so it was. The combination of Berger's new ideas and more elaborated rythms, and the added spice brought on by the new musicians to Berger's chimeras, resulted in: a submersion of fusions and refreshing rythms. The range of these rythms can be found compiled in their latest musical production "Polyphase". Of cheerful tendencies, and cosmopolitan mixes, the record offers attractive tracks. Different from previous productions "Polyphase" presents more deliberated rythms. Nevertheless, some of the lyrics might be considered infantile by the older public.
