Album Notes

MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL
April 2001 / Issue #215

Take the horror biz getup thrash of the Misfits and the pop punk goofiness of the McCrackins and add an unmatched sense of humor and you'll get within a few blocks of BFS. Band members have names like "Fuck" and "Captain BoredOutLeftEyeSocket." Every song has the word "skull" in the title ("Four Skulls and Seven Ears Ago," "Skulls That Ride City Buses").

They sound like a pop Misfits (which is where I woulda pegged the Undead). The cover and band history inside is funnier than hell. Beer swillin' music for the new millenium!

WorldWidePunk
RATING: 10/10

I thought this would be a really bad joke when I first got the CD. I mean, it's a band called Big Fuckin' Skull with an album called Six Skulls Against The World, and EVERY song is about, yes, SKULLS. Well, some of this stuff is pretty funny and foul-mouthed, and you'll probably like it if you like Misfits-style gore.

There's a ton of background "whoa's", catchy and fun hooks, but I must stress that this is definitely NOT pop-punk! They fuckin's say fuck alot, you fuckin' fucks, so if your mommy doesn't let you listen to dirty words, you better fucking play this quietly. Otherwise, grab a beer, crank it up, and have fun listening to this one.
