Album Notes

Bigga Digga is instrumental music, and not having any lyrics is risky in today's landscape, but while we'd like to think of ourselves as heady, and intellectual, really we're just happy to catch a groove and ride it out. If you listen carefully, you'll hear our voices, speaking though our instruments, in the time honored tradition which is unique to American culture. Cue us up for anything, from making love, to making chicken, and...Go Figga! Brian Phillips is on saxes, and Rob Chalecki does the guitar work. They are the main writers, and defacto leaders from a musical standpoint. Tom Marsh is new on keys, and we expect great things from him, both performance and writing wise. But Glenn Tapia is THE band. When not laying down some seriously solid pocket bass groove, he is the face of Bigga Digga. Garrett Evans, our drummer, personifies many of those drummer jokes you hear, but he does some arranging when he's been fed, and he can certainly take the tempo up if y'all want. Hope you like it.

This is some very good toe-tapping funk-jazz grooves. Just fun to listen to and enjoy.

A great jazz-funk album. Infectious grooves and group collabration makes this CD well worth the money.
