This CD of Big Money in Gumbo was recorded live at Yoshi's Jazz House in Oakland , California.

Annually, Big Money in Gumbo performs this 4th of July birthday celebration for Louis Armstrong.

This allstar band is lead by trombonist, Mal Sharpe and drummer, Bob Scott. The music has been described as "New Orleans drenched Jazz and R & B... everthing from Satchmo to Professor Longhair".
