Big Rans music career has turned full circle since its beginning in the late 1960's where he grew up on a farm near the small railroad town of Slater, Missouri.
The first band Big Ran ever played in was a soul band called "The Flames" that was started by his best friend Jonathan White. Big Ran and Jonathan had also played on basketball teams together in Grade School and High school. Big Ran said that Slater Missouri is where he had some of the best times in his life.
Since leaving Slater Missouri in the late 1960's Big Ran played in many Rock N' Roll bands while in college and later in Country bands and even played for an Elvis imitator while serving in the U.S. Army. Big Ran formed his own band "Big Rans Missouri Rock Opry" and played most of the roadside bars in central Missouri from 1999 until November 2003. In 2004 Big Ran made a decision to go back to his musical roots and start playing Blues and Soul Music again and recorded his Bear Creek Blues cd. Since that time Big Ran has done gigs with some really great Blues Bands like "The Doubledown Band".
In September 2006 Big Ran decided to start playing and writing Gospel Music as a creative outlet because of some changes in his life. Because of the changes in Big Rans life, he has become a born again Christian.
Big Ran formed a Gospel Rock and Blues Band in September 2006 called "The Big Ran Feuers Band" and keep that band going until July 2007.
Big Ran has played a lot of styles of music from Country, Rock N' Roll to Blues and R&B, and he likes it all. At the present time Big Ran is trying to form a Big Blues and Rock N Roll show band in Jefferson City, Missouri and is looking for experienced Musicans that are very accomplished on their instruments and have lead vocal ability that would like to help him form one of the Best Show Bands in the Midwest! Big Ran will be able to retire from his day job as of 1 March 2009 and he will be looking far people that want to play more than just week ends.
