Album Notes

6 years, 4 albums, a TV appearance and countless headline tours in the U.K. and Europe have earned The BiG a reputation as the most innovative and energetic Ska band in the U.K. Whether you're skankin', listening (or just watching!) you'll leave the shows with a tune in your head, always wanting more. This is not your average 2Tone style ska. Think more creative and more "raspy".

Their last album, the self released "Tears At The Dover" (which we have limited copies of for sale as well) was a huge triumph of performance and writing. This album is an eclectic mix of all style of ska as well as Blues, Folk and Punk. Raw lyrics and even more raw vocal power, The BiG are an odd bunch and may take a few spins to get used to, but once you do, I'm sure you're going to like what you hear!

If you know about this album already you may be wondering where the second disc is?... Moon Ska World released this album as a double cd set, the second cd is comprised of cool and experimental tunes, but not really ska tunes. There are some re-versions from the first disc, but it's not what the band sounds like normally. We have chosen to put this second disc up for digital release along side the first album to allow all our customers and The BiG's fans to decide how they want to listen to The BiG.

This is an eclectic mix of two-tone, third-wave ska, and rock. The socially conscious lyrics match the dark, pessimistic mood of the album. The range of vocal styles will keep you interested and the strong accents elicit visions of industrial Europe.
