Big Wave Riders is a collection of surf and instrumental tracks from around the world. It's more than just a compilation, though. It's a statement. It says that surf music didn't go out with the '60s. It says that surf music is not just a California thing. Instead, it's a worldwide phenomena. We have bands from all over the world, including the U.S., Canada, England, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden, and Australia, and each band is unique. Each band has its own statement to make - instrumentally. That's right. There are no lyrics, no words whatsoever. This album's a blast! It's great for the car, the boat, the beach, whatever makes you happy. Give it a whirl!

In the more meditative cluster of tunes, “”Collateral Tears” by the Surfdusters and “Chrome and Water” by 3 Balls of Fire explore the different facets of surf music. At the least, you can brag about having a CD including Swedish, Slovenian, Australian, and German surf bands.
