Bill E Shaw was born in Bakersfield, Ca. and grew up listening to the sounds of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and countless other dust bowl descendants whose songs graced local airwaves. Learning to play the guitar at age ten, Bill E became obsessed with the records of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, then later with the "Kings of the Blues," Albert, Freddie, and BB. By age 17, Bill E was melding these diverse musical influences, performing at concerts, playing clubs, writing songs, and learning his way around the recording studio.
Moving to Los Angeles in his early 20's, an association with Leon Russell and Denny Cordell's Shelter records offered Bill E the opportunity to become involved in Hollywood recording sessions with such artists as Joe Cocker, Tom Petty, and Dwight Twilley, as well as playing on, engineering, and producing Shelter demo sessions.
In the mid 1980's, Bill E moved from LA to Nashville, where he wrote songs and played guitar in the studio and on the road with Merle Haggard, Delbert Mcclinton, and Shelby Lynne.
Recorded in Santa Barbara, California , “Out Of This World” is a collection of four songs recorded with producer and musician David West.
