Album Notes

The warm sound of BILLHOUSE, a rock'n'roll family of sorts, homespun to be sure. BILLHOUSE's mid-western songs feature three distinct singer/songwriters on guitar and vocals. Their debut effort, "Welcome To The Smalltime", goes comfortably from country influenced folky laments to rave-up rockers with an ease and charm uncommon. Some kind words for the 1st record?

"Packed with an earthy glow" - Illinois Entertainer

"Flat-out good music!" - Indie-Music.com

"Slowed down fashion of old alt-country with whispers of folk and americana woven in. Nice." - Smother.net

"Perfect album for your next road trip" - Indie Artists Alliance

"...an early Fleetwood Mac / Stones swagger" -Richard Milne, WXRT Chicago

Live gigs in Chicago have included opening slots with the likes of Toby Kieth, Lee Anne Womack, Cracker and Larry Kirwan of Black 47. Bh-related music has been featured on such shows as Party of 5, Dawson's Creek, Beverly Hills 90210 and Millennium. The band is in the process now of sussing out tunes for a follow-up and has plans to start recording again in the late spring/summer.
