Album Notes

Billionaires for Bush Minister of Musical Manipulation, Felonius Ax comes from a long line of Timber Barons, but unlike his twin brother Heinus, who joined the family business and permanently denuded large swatches of Oregon and Northern California, young Felonius heard music in the buzz of chainsaws and the crashing down of old-growth redwoods. He got his professional start working at the Prevara/Cates PR firm where his "Double-Wrapped, Triple Zapped" jingle for Nuke Chops™ (the delicious line of irradiated pork chops with the built-in disposable microwave unit) put him on the map. He made his first billion dollars when he bought the rights to "Good Morning To You" and convinced a Bush-appointed appellate judge to award him the entire fortune generated by "Happy Birthday To You" since the Hill Sisters 'claimed' to have written it in 1893. Having learned the lesson that people can be persuaded to do just about anything if you set their toes a-tapping, Mr. Ax decided to parlay his penchant for musical manipulation into political activism with the Billionaires for Bush campaign. He now applies his talents to selling ordinary people on an economic agenda that only benefits the super-rich. When not composing and arranging, Mr. Ax enjoys long soulful walks through areas that have been clear cut bare of topsoil.

This CD is not only musically brilliant, the lyrics are really funny. The rap tune captures the menace that is the Bush Administration, sung by a hip hop character named 50 Billion. There is a song in just about every genre and all of them are beautiful. These songs tell the hard truth in a humerous way. It's way cool. Get it!
