Love Changing Blues is Bill McQuaid's second CD and is a collection of Ragtime, Blues and Piedmont songs from the 1920's and 1930's featuring Bill's vocals and fingerstyle guitar playing. He plays a low-tuned 12-string, bottleneck, National steel and a number of parlor guitars in foot stomping arrangements of classics by Blind Blake, Willie McTell, Blind Boy Fuller, Scapper Blackwell, Mississippi John Hurt, and others.
The CD features several hard working Boston area musicians: Jim Fitting on harmonica, Steve Sadler on mandolin and banjo, Dana Price on fiddle, Johnny Sciascia on upright bass, Washtub Robbie Phillips on jaw harp, Dinty Child on Field Organ and Michael Dinallo on electric guitar. Love Changing Blues was produced by Bill McQuaid and Michael Dinallo, mixed by Ducky Carlisle (Norah Jones and Susan Tedeschi) and mastered by Toby Mountain.
